(More customer reviews)Aim was to transport my bike 15 miles to the trail using Lexus RX330 or Mitsubishi Eclipse. A hitch and bike holder was an expensive option, while a roof rack was difficult for me to load the bike and not practical. Out of all bike trunk racks that I was able to review, only Saris Bones 805 2-Bike Trunk Mount Rack would fit my SUV and Eclipse using Hatch Huggers. Plus it's elegant design and recycled material. Delivery was prompt as usual from Amazon.com. Installed product in 15 minutes alone after reviewing the product video on web site as suggested by reviewer. The rack and Hatch Huggers proved to be sturdy and stable. I am very happy with the outcome and highly recommend it.

Aluminum Tilting Motorcycle Rack Carrier - 410ACR Review

(More customer reviews)I bought a 410acr rack from these people last year.. The front wheel chock piece bent under normal used. I only carry a dirt bike around. I've been trying to get a replacement part for my rack for the last 2 or 3 months (it's been so long I don't remember when I first called them). I've sent emails and even talked to owner himself, so he says. I live in CO, supposedly they are located in CO as well (except they don't give an address), part of the reason I bought this rack in particular, keep business local.. I now regret my decision to buy from these people 100% I still have a broken rack that can't be used, I'm out $400 on an expensive bike carrier that is now useless to me.. I'm considering having someone fabricate me a piece so that I use this bike rack again. It says right on there web site that they have the BEST customer service.. BS!!!! I've never been so upset about trying to get a part for something that I have bought... I've called these people I think about 25 times and left numerous messages.. never once a return call, I'm seriuos, NOT one return phone call or email, only time I have talk to anyone is when someone actually picks up the phone.. if you don't believe me, just try calling there phone number, 303-450-2881, you'll get the answering machine I promise. DO NOT buy anything from these people unless your sure you'll never have to call them for a spare part. I even tried to have TRAILER SOURCE, one of they distributors order me the part, they told me the same thing, can't get a hold of anyone..BUYER BEWARE!!!I never write reviews about anything I buy, but I'm so upset with this people that I had to share my experience.

Almost every product Thule sells is compatible with their one-key/one-lock system. If it isn't, it usually says so in the product description (example: the cable bike lock by Thule). Each cylinder fit perfectly in the product we needed it for- no extra tools or stress!

I have been able to transport up to two bicycles (A Giant and a Raleigh)with no problems. Of course, I further secure them with tie downs (peace of mind). My only problem is that my motorhome has a hidden hitch and I not only had to buy an extended hitch bar for my receiver but I had to have the bike rack cut about 4 inches above the hitch and extended out away from the motorhome for clearance. The hitch works fine for me and for most applications a longer hitch bar would be all that is necessary for it to work as it should. On my receiver there is not enough room for the standard hitch bar to go through the bike rack and still connect to the receiver.

Delta Bike Hitch Locking Fork Mount Review

(More customer reviews)I bough two of these new Delta fork mounts for my wife's Xterra (I built my own interior rack using an L-shaped piece of sheet-metal, and attached these mounts).
Pros: In the previous Delta fork mount, getting the arm lined up for the locking position took several tries, but now the new design just goes right into place.
Cons: Once the lever arm is closed, you really have to work your fingers or possibly a tool into the gap to open it. In the end, this is for the best as you don't want this thing opening up without some force.
Summary: Use these to make your own bike rack using 2X6 planks in the back of your truck, or go to the hardware store and get creative with your SUV.....

(More customer reviews)I was not sure which type of rooftop carrier to purchase to transport my new kayak. I was expecially concerned because I am 5'4" and have to lift a kayak to the top of a RAV4. The carrier was easy to install on my factory installed mount and my boat slides on and off with ease. (I do carry a small step stool to make it easier to tie-down the boat.) This product comes with quick draw bow and stern tie downs so you do not need to order a separate set unless you want to have a spare. (note: In putting together the rack - the directions indicated using the longest set of screws/bolts - but the shorter ones were much better for my vehicle.) This was a great purchase for me - easy to install and easy to use.

Thule 887XT SlipStream XT Kayak Roof Rack Mount Carrier Review

(More customer reviews)As I got older I found it more and more difficult to bench-press my kayak up to my J style carriers. With this carrier system I can lift one end onto the rear roller and then lift and push the back end of the kayak until it is on the roof. I mounted the unit on a trailblazer with rectangular shaped cross bars. It was easy to position the unit so that the rear rollers slid far enaugh to the back to prevent scratching the vehicle when loading and then the unit slid forward to a perfect carrying position. Loading is easy, transporting is safe and quiet with less drag on the vehicle than with the J bars. This unit doesn't create very much noise when empty and sits low enaugh on the roof to allow entry to most parking garages. Overall, I concider this a great unit and wished that I had purchased one years ago/

SportRack ABR611 Nomad Universal Upright rack Review

(More customer reviews)I have a Mercury Villager and a Jeep Patriot. Both of them have wide factory crossbars on the roof racks. The SportRack was the only bike rack I could find that would fit... and it fit perfectly. The clamps are broad (3") and have a gentle arc to them, just like my roof racks. It might not work as well on crossbars that are round or square.
The racks aren't too hard to assemble, and all the critical connection points are metal (for instance, the plastic retainers have threaded inserts). It looked and felt plenty solid. The clamp mechanism works fine on most bikes, but my son's mountain bike has a non-round frame and the clamp doesn't work on that.
The sliding "ramps" and straps work well, but there is a limit to how long the bike can be and still work... my longest bike is 53 1/2" from hub to hub, and it fits on the SportRack but the rear ramp and strap have to be in front of the rear wheel, instead of behind it. The bike seems to be secure, but I'd prefer the ramp to be behind the wheel. Adding a center section somehow would help.
It's not as expensive as the Thule or Yakima, but it's mechanically sound. Why pay more?

Yakima HullyRollers Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased the Hully Rollers to take the place of a rear kayak saddle. I was having difficulty putting my wooden kayak on to my van. I thought that the Hully Rollers would make it easier to load. I didn't find that the effort was that much less using the Hully Rollers. The saddles worked as well as the rollers if I put a carpet over the back of the van and on to the saddles. I have to be more careful with the Hully Rollers so I don't run off them and drop the boat. I didn't have that problem with the saddles. if I had to do it over again, I'd just be happy with the saddles.
