(More customer reviews)I had no huge problems with item. It was as described, solid, and fit into my 2" square hole just great. It didn't fit as snug as I had hoped but it worked great for transitioning from a female 2" to a female 1.25". I don't know why the other comment on this product is negative.

Hidden Hitch 80303 Receiver Adapter Review

(More customer reviews)I found the item description to be ambiguous. The picture is no help because it shows three part numbers and does not say which one is which.
The 80303 goes from 1-1/4" ON YOUR CAR and sizes up to 2" at the back end where the carrier or rack would insert. It is the part shown in the middle of the picture.

The extension of about 4" from pin-hole to pin-hole was perfect - it allows about 1" of clearance from the tire to the vertical rack post.

(More customer reviews)The hitch was received promptly and exactly as advertised. Unfortunately for me, I hadn't measured carefully enough and my receiver was just about 1/4" too long and I couldn't fit both pins in. I was more concerned about the length of the bike rack tongue than the 2" receiver I was fitting it into.
Oh well, not the fault of the seller, though. The dimensions were clearly spelled out on the product page, SO PAY ATTENTION AND MEASURE WELL!
Product itself is solid and well made.

Converter 1-1/4 to 2 In Hitch Receiver Adapter Bicycle Review

(More customer reviews)As noted in the other review, this is only a Class 2 hitch (1-1/4") to a Class 3 hitch (2"). It is useful for mounting bike racks and cargo carriers that are all too common in 2" receiver hitch styles. This is not meant for towing.
Even so, expect to safely load about 150-175 pounds of cargo using this adapter, even though it says it will accomodate 500 pounds (the standard rating of a Class III hitch). You are still bound by the weight limit of your Class II hitch and this adapter cuts that by half.
It is a cheap way to use the larger accessories, which I have to use one due to my Ford Explorer having the smaller size.
