One thing they don't tell you is that although it doesn't have a button/latch type quick-release, it does have a single-bolt attachment that is easy to quickly remove and reattach with the case open. The bolt is a swivel wingbolt type that needs no tools and folds flat out of the way. You may have to move some of the contents out of the way first, but it's almost as quick to remove and attach and certainly more secure than the type that has a quick-release integral with the lock. There is also a convenient carrying handle along the hinge. Pros: 1) Positively cavernous: I haven't tried 2 helmets yet, but it does easily hold my full-face helmet and huge clunky boots along with some other junk. Also enough room for grocery shopping or my backpack and street shoes, etc. This makes my daily commute and errands *much* easier. 2) The aforementioned mount system allows you to easily and quickly remove and reattach. 3) Automatically locks when closed. 4) Rounded, pleasing aerodynamic shape. 5) So far no leaks - it doesn't have an actual rubber positive seal, but the top overlaps and interlocks the bottom. I don't think it would keep anything dry if the unit were submerged, but with normal rain etc. it should be just fine. Cons: 1) The "reflector" doesn't really reflect. It's just stamped shiny foil behind a red lens. The lens is removable, so one could theoretically modify it with lights, etc. There's not much space between the lens and the lid though, which maximizes interior space but limits lighting options. 2) If stuff is in the way, latch won't close properly. Easily fixed by rearranging said stuff. I may engineer a guard to make that moot. Bottom line: you can't beat this for the money - I am very, very happy with mine.
