(More customer reviews)I purchased this product to be used with a Yakima DryDock on my truck to carry two canoes. It is a great product, attaches securely and does what it is designed to do. I didn't want to pay a shop to install a permanent rack on my F-150. Yes, if you buy this you're going to end up paying more for convenience, but it is still way cheaper than going to a shop. I'm ordering a second set so I can have a utilize the same rack system on my Passat in the winter for snowboards and skis. Amazon prices are comparable to any where else you can find the product, but offer free shipping and most can avoid sales tax.

Curt Manufacturing 11338 Class I Receiver Review

Went on easy, one-man job. One glitch: two of the bolts were a 1/2 inch short, had to go to Lowe's to get longer ones, but they were readily available. Added a half-hour to a 45 minute job, and $1.40 to the cost. You will need to widen frame holes, so have the proper metal drill bits ready.
Fits my Mazda 5 neatly and solidly.
Used it to tow a power log splitter the very next day.
Very satisfied.

Curt Manufacturing 11831 Class I Receiver Hitch Review

(More customer reviews)The hitch looked well made and the bolt holes lined up with the car frame. Ran into 2 problems.The left side of the hitch lacked meeting up to the frame by 0.5" so I had to make a spacer to fill in the gap.The bolts were just long enough to tighten up. Next when hooking the exhaust back up, the muffler was against the hitch. Contacted Curt MFg. and was told to drop the exhaust down. Exhaust mounts are welded in place and only one length of hanger is available. Will have to remove hitch and trim 0.5" off bottom of flange.

2003-2009 Honda Pilot Cross Bars Review

(More customer reviews)Retailer shipped fast and well no probs. Price was good. Product was not too hard to install needed some finessing but took about 1/2 hr total. One note: the roof bars do cause a noticeable amount of wind noise while driving. It is a a fairly loud deep humming sound. Perhaps b/c the bars are square and not shaped to cut through the wind. had I known I may have opted for more expensive shaped equipment.

Flaming River FR40001-S Billet-Power Power Rack and Pinion Review

(More customer reviews)I picked up one of these racks to replace the leaky rack on my FFR Cobra kit car.
It works great, and is an absolutely beautiful rack. It's expensive as heck, but it's fully rebuildable, and th ebillet 'cooling fins' on the steering input are a nice touch.
It uses a pyramid style steering input shaft, and normally has 16" spacing on the mounting bolts.
