(More customer reviews)We purchased these bars to use with our Coleman soft top carrier on top of our Nissan Altima that did not have a luggage rack or rails. After driving through pouring rain for more than eight hours, we found that the clips started to slip, and the straps that we had secured to the inside of our car were allowing water to come inside. We had to stop and purchase some towels so that we didn't have to sit on wet seats for the rest of our trip. Unless you're 100% sure that you won't encounter any rain on your trip, I'd suggest you find another way of transporting your luggage.
