(More customer reviews)I'm trying to be fair, I'll just make statements :with regard to a Silverwing:
- the ramp is far too weak in my opinion for a nearly 600 pound Silverwing
- once on the VersaHaul the carrier is OK "weightwise" (the carrier is strong enough)
- it needs some kind of vertical support - even with 4 straps attached in 4 directions, the bike still moved while attached to only the carrier extension arms - (I'm sure a lighter bike or one with a lower center of gravity would be more secure)I ended up adding a good bit of heavy foam padding, pulling and strapping it against the back of the bus (it moved forward toward the back of the bus and away from the bus, not left and right)
- using only the steering arm straps, I ended up bending the handlebar when I hit a very small bump requiring an emergency retreat to the HONDA dealer for repairs before taking off again - fortunately they fixed it immediately - this is when I switched to 4 stap directions on the handlebars, 1 crankstrap each on each wheel and 2 others thru the frame
- I'm selling it (the VersaHaul) - I don't trust the ramp (that bent once already) and the 'tie down' is too tenuous for me
- I decided to trade the Silverwing (which I loved) for a Goldwing (which I love more - much more) and start over (either trailer or hydraulic lift system)
- instructions seemed clear
- they provided a VERY POOR hitch bar bolt which nobody who is as obsessively careful as many RV'ers are, would use
