(More customer reviews)This was the product I needed, and it works perfectly. My only complaint is why in the world should I have to buy an extra part that I could only find online. I will admit my choice of rack system was based only on looks. I got the higher end aero bars which are oval instead of square or round. When it was time to get a bike rack, I obviously picked the one that fit the look I had going, which also happened to be the higher end model, echelon. Come to find out, the expensive rack can't actually fit on the expensive bars without this kit. Come on Thule!

Go Rhino QR101 Quick Rack Review

(More customer reviews)Purchased a Go Rhino Quick Rack for my new 2010 Ford F150. Unfortunately, it does not fit on the side rails as advertised. The Quick Rack supports require more space under the truck side rails than is available. When installed, the supports are just touching and cannot be adequately secured. I was hoping to use the Quick Rack for transporting things like a canoe on long trips. The rack is suitable for very shorts trips and really does not work (afraid that it might come loose while in use. I was really looking forward to this temporary "on and off" solution but it just does not work, used it twice now but never again. I am looking for something to replace it that is a little more trustworthy. Too bad as it looks like a great idea but like many things, it is ultimately in the execution and this just does not make it. I would NOT recommend that anyone purchase a Quick Rack for a late model Ford F150, keep looking elsewhere!

Smittybilt 18604 Black Contractors Rack Review

(More customer reviews)This "universal" rack does NOT fit a 2007-newer Toyota Tundra unless you want to drill through your bed and permanently mount it. The "J" bolt mounting is unsecure, and down right dangerous! In any case, you cannot use this rack with the deck-rail system, so if you like your deck-rail system, just another reason to stay away from this rack. You also must remove or modify the plastic bed caps for the permanent mounting. Be aware that once you drill, you will not be able to replace the plastic bedcaps at all as the top of the bed where you will drill the holes line up pefectly with the mounting holes for the bed caps, so once you enlarge the holes, the bed cap will not secure anymore. I decided none of these options were good for me and got rid of this rack (but not before it fell off the bed because of the unsecure "J" bolt mounting and damaged my brand new truck.)
I have contacted Smittybilt about these problems, but they seemed unconcerned, they said it worked on every truck they tried, but admitted a Tundra was not one of them.

Kargomaster 80020 Ladder Rack Review

(More customer reviews)This is a great product. I just recently purchased it and installed it. It has been used a lot in just a short time. Instead of hauling a trailer around just throw the ladders, lumber, pipe, etc. on top. The only problems I have were convincing myself to drill holes into my 07 nissan frontier when mounting the rack, and that at around 55-60mph, between the front of the rack and the cab, there is a slight hum or whistle (I don't know if that happens to be a specific problem to certain vehicles or what). Other than that, it is very practical and can be used for hauling many different products.

Malone Big Foot Pro Universal Car Rack Canoe Carrier with Bow and Stern Lines Review

(More customer reviews)We are going on a road trip from CO to Lake of the Ozarks in MO. I wanted a more secure way to haul the canoe 2k miles through Kansas winds. Received the brackets from Amazon yesterday and had them installed and canoe mounted in less than an hour. I have an Acura MDX with factory cross bars. I was worried about this fitting.
BEFORE I purchased the product, I put the canoe on top and measured the space available on either side of the canoe for the mounts to make sure it would work. The measurements were going to be tight, so I flipped a coin and bought the brackets. The description states that the mounts are 5" wide, but the clamp that bolts to the underside of the bracket is 1.5" wide and allows the bracket to hang over the Acura's crossbar mounts and inch or two. This saved my skin. There was very little wiggle room. BUT it works and it looks nice. The canoe is very secure. The straps that accompany the kit are of good quality.
I do not like a single line on the bow since it does not give good side-to-side control (even though the brackets provide fantastic side-to-side control--something I'll have to get used to), so I modified the ropes to attach triangle style to the inside of the hood.
This product--although probably overkill--gives me much more peace of mind hauling the canoe long distances with high winds.
