Like one of the other reviewers I had watched the install video so I had a pretty good idea of what I needed to do and everything was pretty straight forward. However the hitch would not line up with the frame when I was trying to bolt it up. I could get one side lined up but it looked as though the other side was angled in by about an inch. I worked with it for a couple of hours and I was finally was able to get a cheater bar on it and get it pulled over to line up with the bolt holes. Not easy and a lot of work for something that should not be this difficult. This was for a 2011 Highlander. I didn't see any visible damage to the hitch so I am assuming that it was slightly off at the factory. I didn't want to have to pack this thing back up and try to ship it back.
I would recommend two people to help with the install but it is a pretty straight forward and can be done fairly easily (as long as the hitch is straight).
