As far as construction of the product, as I stated above. "Not too bad at all". It's heavy enough for most laptops as long as you don't have an old 20 pound "battleship".
The only real problem is that the manufacturer need to re-design how the mounting base attaches to the main rod. This attachment point needs to lock rather that rely on friction to hold it in the desired position. I forced some star washers between the base and the rod, then torqued the nut and bolt as much as I dared to.
Works OK for me but then again I'm; #1 - Cheap and #2 - Using a netbook. ;)
