(More customer reviews)The product works okay, and in theory, it is easy to install. However, you need to look at the instructions and parts carefully. There's a chart for vehicles that tells you which screw to use. They package the screws in a way that looks like there are two types, but actually, there are four. I installed one side fine. It then took me 30 minutes to figure out I had the wrong screw on the other side. Silly me, I guess, but I couldn't figure out why one side fit and the other didn't. Thought maybe I got the wrong landing pads. If you have the right parts, its a quick install.

(More customer reviews)Be very careful of Thule Fit Kits. At least one of them does not fit. I bought the 2171 fit kit for my 2006 Honda Civic. It does NOT fit! Thule will not stand behind their products and let me return the kit. I have another Honda and the kit for that one fits great. So, try and find a review of the specific kit you want to buy before you buy it. Do NOT buy the 2171 kit expecting it to fit a 2006 Honda Civic. IT DOES NOT FIT.

Thule Xsporter Adaptors Review

(More customer reviews)I have a 2009 Xterra with factory crossbars and according to Thule I needed the Xadapt3 optional package to attach my Glide and Set kayak carrier. Well, when I got the Xadapt3 and followed the instructions, I noticed that the longer 80mm bolts were too long and didn't allow the carrier to be tightened down because the threads on the 80mm bolts only went about an inch up and not the entire length of the bolt. The 60mm and 50mm bolts that came with my kayak carrier were too short and Thule doesn't sell a 70mm bolt or a 80mm bolt that is threaded all the way to the top of the bolt. I called up Thule but all I got was a message saying to leave a message and they would return my call. Well, wouldn't you know it, Thule never bothered to return my call. I eventually had to rig up something myself to secure the Glide and Set kayak carrier to my factory crossbars.
Shame on Thule for listing products that aren't compatible and for the worst customer service ever. Although I'm not sure you can call it bad customer service if you don't even get to talk with anyone, more like no customer service at all.

Thule KIT 4001 Podium Intracker Kit Review

(More customer reviews)These fit our 2007 Kia Rondo as expected, however, the cheap plastic locking pin doesn't do a very good job of keeping the plastic cover on each of these. I've still only been able to (barely) get 3 out of 4 of them on. I read another review elsewhere that recommended the locking pin as a better alternative, so I'm going to try those. I don't suspect it will add any real security because you can pop the plastic covers off easily with just a screwdriver, but hopefully it will hold them in place a bit better.

Thule 430 Tracker II Roof Rack Foot Pack (Set of 4) Review

(More customer reviews)When searching for a rooftop rack system to fit on my 2003 Honda CRV, I didn't seem to have too many options. The factory rack was overpriced and not very flexible as there weren't many attachments for it to handle the various types of things I wanted to carry...bikes, canoes, kayaks. I decided to buy the Thule system because of it's great reputation and variety of fittings available for it.
I love my Thule rack. The quality and fit of the foot pack is just amazing. Installation was a breeze and the included plastic covers match the existing roof line nearly perfectly. Once the feet are clicked in place, they are very solid and feel incredibly secure...that's something reassuring when carrying a $3,000 kayak! I would hate to see my kayak flying off my roof at 65mph.
It would be nice if locks were included in the package instead of being an expensive option, but other than that, this is a quality rack system that you cannot go wrong with. Highly recommended.

An annoying detail NOT MENTIONED in the description, however, is that the product INCLUDES the bow/stern tie-downs (Thule 855 Thule 855 Quick Draw Boat Bow/Stern Tie Down Rachets) that are recommended with this rack. DO NOT buy the bow/stern tie-downs as an extra item (like I did) or else you will end up with two sets of them and may end up missing the 30-day return deadline and getting stuck with them (also like I did). Other than that, the rack has typical Thule construction and will perform it's duty well once installed and the rivers thaw out.

(More customer reviews)We purchased this product to go on our Ford Flex. The Bands that go around the Roof Rack Base on Vehicle are a bit tight. They were just long enough to secure. The wrench for tightening/securing the bands are in the side underneath the THULE logo. Since it was a bit hard to pull the strap around and tighten...the tool doesn't seem to want to "snap" home into the base.
The Cross Bars (not included in the Roof Rack Foot Pack) are well constructed. Very robust. They have a slight whistling...so we tend not to have it always on...only when needed.
I am disappointed that the locks are not included with the rack foot pack...especially for the price. It was not clearly stated in the description. The End Caps are included in the foot pack...but they are not included with the cross bars. Which seems odd.
