I ordered this hitch for my 2011 Toyota Camry Hybrid. It was an easy install that I did myself and it fit perfectly. Great price.

Thule Transporter Combination Hitch Cargo Carrier Review

Thule Transporter Combination Hitch Cargo Carrier
Average Reviews:

This Thule hitch-mount "hard-shell" cargo carrier I envisioned as just what was needed to double the effective size of my 2007 Toyota Corolla's trunk. It has worked out exactly as expected. It's 13 cu. ft. of space doubles the a little more than 13 cu. ft. space of the trunk.
Everything was in the box (for both 1 1/4" and 2" hitch receivers), shipping was free (and pretty quick) in addition to $40 or so off the list price by buying from Amazon, assembly and installation was a snap (I already had a 1 1/4" receiver mounted on my Corolla along with the flat plug type wiring necessary for the included lights), and it has done just what I needed on a 3000 mile trip in the West in May - haul my camping equipment while still having the car trunk available for everything else I needed.
Only "issue" is just what I expected from putting such a contrapation on the back of my relatively low slung Corolla, i.e., it will occasionally drag when going up or down a sharp incline. However, this is usually quite avoidable by paying attention by going slowly up and down such inclines (like pulling into or out of a gas station or convenience store) and taking such inclines at an angle (i.e., not perpendicular to the street).
A major upside of these type carriers is that one gets less wind drag and better mileage from such this configuration versus the high wind drag of roof mounted carriers. Evidence? I got over 41 mpg on my noted 3000 mile trip! I also does not obstruct the view out the back window at all essentially.

Ok, found out the hard way, your going to have to buy an extra 130 bucks or so (or more) worth of specifice mounting hardware for your particular vehical to get this rack to work. Other than that the rack is great, just wish that the discription had listed that you need the additional mounts. Be sure and check the SURCO's website and the application guide to find out what exactly you will need.

Surco ST100 Spare Tire Carrier Review

Surco ST100 Spare Tire Carrier
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Probably a great rack for a "stock" spare. Even when I had a 30" tire on this mount, it was enough to bend the rack out of shape. When I switched to 33" tires I had to modify and drill holes to even mount the tire and beef up the supports to keep the tire from bending the rack. Since the rack can support the weight with no problem a change in design is in order for this mount to properly hold any tire over stock size.

Assembly is very easy however that's the only nice thing. I only had this on top of my Jeep for 2 months before it started to rust at it's assembly points. The rust then leaked ontop of my jeep creating havoc on my paint. Will not recommend this unit. Spend the extra money and get something nicer.

Pro Series 63152 Black 60" x 24" Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier Review

Pro Series 63152 Black 60 x 24 Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Desperately needed a cargo carrier for camping in my F-150 Super Crew, and did a ton of internet research before buying. I have to say first off that this is one of the biggest carriers available, both in width @ 60" (foremost) and depth, and total weight capacity is excellent at 500 LB's. When you begin looking, what you'll notice right away is that carriers with brand names, and in smaller form factors are between $300 to $700! While I don't claim to be an expert on cargo carriers, I'm sorry but I don't want to spend that much money on something that you stack ice chests and cargo boxes on. I want to spend $$ on camping equipment that I have to have for my trips.....
Further to this, I would say that the quality of construction on this carrier is excellent. The welds are very good, and the gauge of steel used (frame) and quality of the powder coat finish are perfect. They also can supply (option)a regular (bulbs) or led tail light kit (more expensive) for the carrier which in my opinion is a must. The tail light kit is superb and fits the oval openings perfectly with the supplied rubber inserts. The wiring harness supplied fits the lights well, however, as noted in other internet reviews is not of adequate length to reach some harnesses. My truck is already outfitted with a tow package, so all I had to do was hit the auto parts store and purchase an 48" extension. No big deal, and only costs around $5.
Assembly was very easy. The Carrier comes in two halves, and the unit is joined at the center (floor level) by a very robust 2" receiver bar that has a height offset to keep the carrier higher off the ground. Three large bolts go through the carrier halves and through the bar using locking nuts, and then four smaller bolts, both leading edge and trailing edge (center) connect the top half of the carrier. While the smaller bolts come with washers, the big bolts on the bottom do not. I would strongly recommend that you purchase some large washers for the bottom bolts as well. Again, not a big expense, and they will help with wear and tear on the bar and frame.
Weight of the assembled unit is significant, so plan on having someone there to help you put it in the hitch. Why pull your back out trying to do it solo. :) I'd guesstimate that the carrier weighs about 60+ LB's. One other item to note is that the height of your cargo in the carrier may cover your license plate on the rear of the vehicle, so it would be a good idea to mount a license plate frame on the carrier so that you can move your plate to the carrier instead, that way it will be visible.
They also make a cargo bag for this carrier, which looked good, ballistic nylon I believe. I didn't need it because I won't be putting anything on the carrier that can't get wet in a storm, etc.
In summary, for the money, I don't feel you can beat this carrier. I give it a 4.75 Star rating. Without the extra work related to the wiring harness I would have gone 5 Star. BTW - Your unit will likely arrive with the outer cardboard totally destroyed, as they don't use very robust exterior packaging, however, your internals should be fine as they are zip tied to the carrier frame, and the corners of the carrier are protected by very thick foam. Mine arrived trashed, but the carrier and parts inside were just fine.
First trip with the carrier will be in a couple weeks, so once I have road tested it I will update the review.

Valley 90360 Basket Extension Review

Valley 90360 Basket Extension
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I got this extension mainly b/c without the extension the rack looks too small for my jeep. I have the ability to adjust my crossbars with my Thule Bars on the rain gutter. I widened it so it was 45" apart from each other then put the put the rack on. All connected, it's really not that heavy. i put it on top myself with a stool. I'd recommend this to anyone that has the roof space. At a reasonable price from amazon.com, i have a rack that is significantly cheaper than those from competing companies.
I choose to not use the plastic covers as well. I feel they add wind resistance and it looks corner with the valley brand on it. if it was all black than maybe.

Valley 90190 Deluxe Hitch Mounted Basket Cargo Carrier Review

Valley 90190 Deluxe Hitch Mounted Basket Cargo Carrier

I bought this for the wife's Expedition. It fits great and looks great. I found this same item at 5 or 6 different web sites, but it was cheapest here. Shipping was fast, and it only took 20 minutes to put together. I bought the basket with the folding shank, and I am glad I spent the few extra $$. This basket is great for carrying large or dirty items that you do not want inside the vehicle (gas cans, sandy beach chairs, your mother-in-law). Buy one today!

I shopped for a roof basket for my 06 Jeep Commander. I wanted a basket that would utilize my existing factory rack. The Valley rack compares favorably to the Yakima Load Warrior at 1/2 the price. The reviews on both racks are fantastic the only con on the Yakima is price. I purchased the extension as well off Amazon for about $55.00. The rack at 38" X 62" ended up costing about $215.00. Installation was a snap.

Surco S4560 Safari Rack 45'X60'

I did a whole lot of research before purchasing a roof rack for my '95 ZJ. This rack fits the bill in every way, it looks awesome, is light, made of corrosion resistant aluminium, and has more accessory mounts than you can shake a stick at. Installation is a breeze. Not pictured are the 48" crossbars that came with the kit I purchased. My only gripe is that this was not communicated and i bought another set.

Curt 18115 Roof Mounted Cargo Rack Review

Curt 18115 Roof Mounted Cargo Rack
Average Reviews:

I received the rack recently and ound it to be good quality and good looking for what it is. I don't really understand the previous reviewer's complaint. The rack is black and looks like a black rack. I'm not sure what else is expected. As far as quality, I would not say it is upper end, but I would reserve that designation for a heavy duty rack designed to hold a lot of weight. This is a light duty rack that will hold suitcases camping equipment etc. just fine. A nice aspect of this is that it is light enough that it is easy to put on and take off if you do not want it on your vehicle all of the time. Plus, for the price, I think it is an exceptional buy so long as you buy it within its use constraints.
