(More customer reviews)I ordered on a Saturday and received the following Wednesday. Very high quality product with a glossy black paint finish. The bolts and nuts were also a very good grade. Instructions were very clear and easy to understand. It took me approximately 15 minutes to install of which five minutes were spent looking to a 3/4" deep well socket. Might be a good idea to have someone help you lift it into place. I had my 16 year old son hold it up while I stated the bolts. I highly recommend this product! Very happy with my new hitch :).

You could imagine my surprise when I ordered this on a Thursday evening and it arrived at my door on Saturday morning, all with free shipping! The install went very smoothly and I was shocked at the quality and fitment. For some reason my Jeep didn't have a shield around the gas tank, so the weld nuts in the frame were full of rust. I ran an M12 x 1.75 tap through them to make life much easier.
Please note: You will have to have a friend pry on the exhaust pipe if you want to use all 6 bolts and the first picture here on Amazon is the mount you will be receiving.

Curt Manufacturing 12291 Class II Receiver Review

(More customer reviews)Very solid and clean build. It fit so perfectly on my 2011 equinox that I didn't have to bang it in with a hammer or support it while I put in the bolts. Installation is very simple and straight forward. Six bolts and your done. The two bolts at the bumper did take a bit of time because of the loops faor the safety chains blocked me from simply using a ratchet wrench with an extension, but once I figured out to just slip my arm between the bumper and the hitch, it went by quickly.

This hitch was the best deal I saw online, and I found it from someone else's recommendation. Fits perfect, and talk about beefy! Twice as heavy as the old hitch I removed, and the 6 mounting points were more spread out and better in my opinion. Install took 1/2 tops by myself. Highly recommend to anyone, great product at a great price.

(More customer reviews)There was no drilling into the frame needed for install. The only cutting needed to do was for the air suspension. The plate for the air suspension needed to be trimmed a little, but took little effort. came with all of the bolts needed for install and even a bolt guide to help hold a couple of the bolts in place. I could have installed this by myself, but it made it even easier to install with one other person due to the weight.

It was great items in term of heavy duty material used in it. Very well welded and bended, the picture is not the same of the item I was received I know that before I purchased the item so it was not surprising thing to me. It was shipped and sold by [....] they could not estimate the right price for the international shipping when I checked out so they sent me an email to add some money for the extra shipping cost to Saudi Arabia and I agreed. They were great with the time it got me with in 7-10 days with UPS.
I will give the item curt 13220 five stars but because one of the fitting holes was not directly fit due to miss calculated measurements in the factory of Curt. So you need to force it in which I did, or have it filed or something...
My car was VW Touareg 2005.

Curt Manufacturing 13051 Class III Receiver Review

(More customer reviews)First off, the build quality seems top notch. The welds are clean, the paint is even and it appears to be very solid. My review below is for the fitment, and I gave it a low rating because it does not fit right over skid plates even though the instructions specifically state it will.
I bought this for my Grand Cherokee thinking it was going to be an easy install. I have OE skid plates, and according to Curt, this is no problem since you simply do not use the provided spacers for the furthest rearward hole. I spent 3 hours trying to get this thing to seat correctly on both sides. I finally gave in and went to my friendly mechanic which required myself and 2 mechanics to get it to fit right. It sits too snug over the skid plate and it is impossible not to scratch both it and the hitch considerably during installation. It is a shame because that nice paint job on the hitch looks terrible now and will probably rust soon. Bottom Line is Curt should make a model for skid plates and without.
Additionally, the bolts included were the wrong pitch AND one arrived broken so it cost me another $9 in hardware.
I wrote to Curt and I was told they would have engineering look into it.
Update: 1/29/11 Curt continues to list this as "Including Laredo & w/ Skid Shield", so I guess they have no plans of addressing the issue.

Curt Manufacturing 14360 Class IV Receiver Review

(More customer reviews)Just received the curt hitch today and installed it in about ten minutes by myself. Just raised one end and put bolt through perfectly aligned factory mounting hole, and loosely screwed the nut. Raised other end and did the same. Put all bolts in loosely an just tightened all nuts at end. It is a little heavy but that's a good thing cause its built out of thick 1/4 inch steel. Overall pleased with the ease of installation, quality of product and , oh yea, the price.

Taking the bumper was not difficult but I spent a lot of time trying to install it without taking it off first. I suppose somebody else could have figured a way to install without taking the bumper off but I could not.
