Out of the box this item was not square, even, or the same size where it should have been. The basket was bent and sagged to the right with no weight on it. Two of the perimeter bars on the right side were longer then the left so one side was wider than the other. One of the angled support (flat bars) underneath was bent. Once I put two full coolers its sagged dangerously but held. It barely fits two normal size coolers causing them to be canted sideways to fit. The unit should of been made a little bit wider and a few inches longer and of heavier gauge steel but for 155 bucks you get what you pay for. I have had SURCO products for years but their QC has gone down hill and it shows in their products. They appear to be made fast with cheap materials by unskilled labor!

(More customer reviews)Use this on a Toyota Matrix. Easy to put together and attach/remove to/from the hitch. Heavy duty. Lots of holddown holes for strapping. I don't max out the max load capacity because I only have a class I hitch, but I have no doubts the carrier would handle it.

(More customer reviews)Installation was straight forward and as easy as I hoped it would be. 5 stars for the hitch.
HOWEVER, the packaging was some of the worst I've ever seen. Pretty much 50 pounds of steel in an oversized box with about 5 feet of crumpled butchers paper for cushion. The box had several puncture marks and part of the unit was hanging out of the box when UPS dropped it on my step. Luckily the hardware kit was in a bag large enough not to escape and even with the bumps and bruises the finish on the hitch was not affected. Have to give ZERO stars for packaging.

(More customer reviews)Bolted up easily, but the tailpipe only has about 1/4" of clearance against the hitch. When I accelerate quickly in 1st gear or go over bumps, it rattles from making contact. I feel like a custom fit hitch should have more clearance so it doesn't make noise. It's embarrassing, but I'll figure out a way to take care of it...

(More customer reviews)I installed the Curt 13310 on my 2000 Dodge Ram full size 1/2 ton pickup. The instructions said I might need to adjust the bumper and that I would have to drill some 1/2" bolt holes. I didn't need to do either. Everything fit perfectly. I installed this hitch by myself in about 20 mins. It couldn't have been easier. I recommend putting thread locker on the bolts before you tighten them. The hitch looks great. The only thing visible from the back of the truck is the receiver part. And best of all, it's made in the good old USA.

Pro Series 63154 Black 48" x 20" Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier Review

(More customer reviews)Got it now, put it together (3 bolts + Nuts), looks like the photos here on Amazon. Here are the facts; The "Product Features" listed as of this review have the specs correct. However, the "Product Description" is wrong. This fits a 1-1/4 inch receiver (NOT a 2 inch) with a capacity of 300 pounds (NOT 500 pounds). In the manual that came with this, is does say that if you have a heavy duty (5,000LB) or better rating on the hitch on your vehicle, that this can carry 500lbs, but on the physical rack, it has a safety sticker that reads, "DO NOT EXCEED 300 lbs".
I am just telling you everything to help you make a good buying decision. It does have a good build, looks like it would last for quite a while. So if the specs I listed above fits what you are looking for, I would recommend buying it.
