Larin LTG-60 Rear Cargo Carrier Review

Larin LTG-60 Rear Cargo Carrier
Average Reviews:

The Larin Cargo Carrier is just what I needed for my small car, a lighweight platform to carry barrels and other items I don't want or can't fit in the car.
The carrier came with both 2inch and 1-1/4inch load bars, which is much better than using an adapter. The only small catch was that instructions were not entirely clear about how the 2 halves fit together, but once attached the rest of the assembly went perfectly.

I bought the extend a truck for my Toyota Tacoma pickup so that I could carry my canoe without having to put it on my roof. The instructions were fairly clear and there were no problems putting it on. I probably spent an hour total installing it. It works perfectly. Now I can get my canoe to where I want to go by myself if I have to, which is what I was hoping to be able to do. Good product.

Curt Manufacturing 11701 Class I Receiver Review

Curt Manufacturing 11701 Class I Receiver
Average Reviews:

Just completed installation of the Curtis 11701 receiver on my 06 E320 CDI Mercedes. I'm a Do-it-Yourself'er and would like to straighten out a few misconceptions about this trailer hitch. First and foremost...it fits perfectly, without any need to cut anything on the exhaust system as suggested by another reviewer. It will take several hours and a bit of head scratching to get it installed...not the one/half to one hour installation time estimated by Curtis Manufacturing (I don't care how good a mechanic you are, these estimates are just not realistic given the scope of work required.) Finally, you will need to loosen the bumper cover (lower right body quarter panel from the rear right wheel well all the way to the left edge of the bumper to be able to gain sufficient clearance to position the trailer hitch receiver in its mounting position. This involves removing several sections of your trunk liner and several bolts that fasten the bumper cover/quarter panel extension to the rest of the body. You will also need to drill two holes in your trunk well...one can be accomplished by following the instructions, the other by carefully measuring the bolt hole location from the outside and marking/drilling it from the inside of the trunk. In all, the installation took approximately 3 and a half hours with only a minimum of profanity. It also helps to have the Mercedes Star Service DVD to identify which body fasteners and bolts need to be removed and in what order. I haven't towed anything yet, but am confident this trailer hitch system will do the trick. It is also minimally obtrusive...looks great!

I purchased and installed this hitch on my 2005 Dodga Dakota and it works great. The mounting holes lined up as advertised and installed easily. The instructions were easy to follow and the powder coating finish is excellent.

Curt Manufacturing 13138 Class III Receiver Review

Curt Manufacturing 13138 Class III Receiver

The receiver is made with heavy construction and nicely finished, and included all the hardware needed. The instructions show a simple enough install where you just remove two existing bolts from the frame and fit the receiver, then drill two new holes using it as a template, something that should take 20 minutes or less with the right tools.
Unfortunately for me, even though my truck was listed for compatibility, the factory tow hook was in the way and I couldn't install the receiver without removing it. The tow hook is secured high up on one of the frame rails with three difficult to reach bolts, and also attached to a strut bolted to the bumper assembly with the bolt tack welded in place. Only once it was removed could I follow the original instructions and everything was fine, just took much longer due to the hook.

Curt Manufacturing 13390 Class III Receiver Hitch Review

After learning that my tow mount for my 2010 Outback would have cost $600 dollars at the subaru dealer, I thought this model seemed like a great value and had a couple of advantages over the Subaru version. I really like that it has the 2" receiver port, which has a higher tow capacity and works better with my existing tow-ball mount. It also sits below the bumper so doesn't require cutting a hole in my pretty, new fender. The only downside to this is the 3 or so inches of reduced clearance at the tailgate, which I can't imagine being much of an issue except for in extreme dips.
I installed this on my car myself. I am somewhat handy, but am not a mechanic and found the install to be of medium difficulty. The hardest part was removing the muffler vibration-isolating mounts, which took me much longer and a few more curse words than the directions seemed to think it should have. It also took me a few extra minutes to figure out the trick of fishing the bolts through the frame. That said, the directions were pretty thorough and I never got too lost. It took me about three hours, and the directions said 90 minutes...
Now that it's on the car, I love how low profile and discrete it is under the bumper. It looks very clean and solid and vastly enhances the utility of my subaru Outback. I'd definitely recommend this product to anyone handy, loathing to spend the five or six hundred dollars for a dealership install.

Great build quality and easy install, unless you have an 09 Yaris S 3door Liftback, I guess the rear bumpber is different(even though it is OEM)so it pushes up on the underside of the bumper causing it to lift and close the gap between the tail-lights and quarter panels. Will have to make or purchase some custom spacers (more cost) or cut the bottom of the bumper to release the stress...otherwise great hitch?

THE EASIEST RECEIVER I EVER MOUNTED !!! TRULY A "NO SWEARING" INSTALLATION

It was delivered 25 Minutes ago, it's already on the Equinox (2011). It took longer to round up the tools than it did to install (needs; 19mm socket, ratchet, 3" and 6" extension, 3/8 drive easier for initial install, 1/2 drive for final torque wrench tightening.). On this vehicle, you just put it in place and bolt it into the threaded holes; did it with no other help. All mount holes perfectly aligned, no adjustments required.

A perfect fit, absolutly no problems. NO HAMMERING, BEATING or CUSS WORDS. The best feature; uses 2" square ball mounts or other accessories (bike rack, etc, etc.).
No need to look at any others, this is a very well made item and a great price. Deserves more than 5 stars. Be sure to use a torque wrench for final tightening.
I added 3 pictures to show receiver mounted on vehicle.
