Motogear Helmet Bag Review

(More customer reviews)CONS: This bag is very snug and somewhat difficult to fit my helmet into. But I will also mention that I wear a XL ICON Domain II helmet that has a little spoiler kind of hanging off the top of the helmet. Does not have enough room to store an extra shield.
PROS: Made very well and offers a good degree of protection without being too bulky. The price was very good.
SUMMARY: Would I buy this bag again? Yes. I like a bag that does not take up a lot of space, has a snug fit and does what it is suppose to do. This bag fits my needs perfectly. Even if it would hold an extra shield I would probably not store one inside for fear it may become scratched or damaged in some way. Shields are too expensive to be messed with too much when not attached to a helmet. I keep my extra shields in my closet in a box designed for that.

Tried to return it to AutoBarn and they wouldn't refund any shipping - the original or return. So now, I have no product and have to pay two shipping costs. I will NEVER buy from AutoBarn again!

Rola 59402 Three Bike Trunk Mounted Carrier Review

(More customer reviews)Bought this bike rack based on the fact that pricing was good and this brand sells in alot of the bike stores. Amazon shipping etc was great as usual!! Installed rack on my car and the upper right strap wouldn't stay tight and hold up any of the weight. I needed to use the bike rack so I used some rope etc to make it work (which it did). When I went to take the bike down, the rubber strap that holds one of the bikes was snapped. I called the company to get replacement straps so I wouldn't have to send the bike rack back. Haven't seen the straps from Rolo and no one has returned my e-mails asking for status, so hence I sent this thing back to Amazon to order a different brand, like Allen who seems to get great reviews. All of the straps on this bike rack are lousy, this rack is not worth the money.

Pyramid Bicycle Monostay Adapter Review

(More customer reviews)The flat bracket that goes around the back of the monostay and attaches to the rack is made of such a soft metal that as I screwed the bolts into the horseshoe shaped piece it simply bent and could not be made completely tight. When I attach something to my bike I like to think that it's going to stay put and not wiggle around. I gave it two stars because it's probably okay for light loads.

Trimax VMAX6 Multi-Use Versa Cable Lock (6 ft long x 10mm cable) Review

(More customer reviews)I had the opposite experience than the other reviewer - I have had this lock for 5mos now and it is still working great. It is a bit bulky because the cable is thick and long, but I wrap it up tight and got myself a velcro zip-tie to keep it tightly wound so it will use up as little space as possible (about 3"x6" at the moment).
I have used the lock to lock up my bike, my helmet, my leathers, and other valuables that I keep on or around my motorcycle and it has always locked and unlocked with ease.
I use smaller cables now for my leathers, helmet, and saddlebags, but I still use this one to lock up my bike - and I trust that the lock will keep my bike safe.
I recommend it.

(More customer reviews)Received the properly packaged hitch via UPS. Box was strong and protested the hitch well. The hitch itself was perfect with a good powder-coated blemish free finish. The install process did not go quite as smoothly as I was hoping for, but I found that watching 2 videos on YouTube helped a lot. (The directions do make more sense if you've seen the video a few times.) I'm somewhat of a car maintenance novice, but I was able to follow the directions and properly install the hitch. I don't have access to a car lift so I used ramps - plenty of room.
I have a Yak Double Down bike rack that I can now use on both vehicles. If you're looking to add a hitch mounted bike rack to your Civic, I really don't think you can beat the Curt.

Some leverage with a screwdriver should break them off. They're better than nothing but pricey for what you get. Try buying one pair and not two as the manufacturer's description recommends and see how you like them.

This arrangement works well to keep things up on the roof secure, much better than using bungee cords alone.

(More customer reviews)Slightly better than your $ 25.00 Walmart bike rack but not by a whole lot. Three bikes is virtually impossible to fit. Straps that hold the bike frame to the rack are totally useless even for the medium size mountain bike frames, they're simply too short to fasten around. Once I managed to squeeze three bikes onto this thing, the straps that hold the bike from the top of the of my SUV's loosened up, so I had to re-strap them. The whole thing was swinging pretty badly, mostly in the vertical motion, as the weight of 3 bikes proved to be too much for this thing. Not too bad for 2 bikes.

Yakima Rattler Wheelstrap 1 pair Review

(More customer reviews)I had to buy a pair of these after a friend donated a Yakima rack to me that was missing the straps. These are made of very heavy duty plastic, and the ratcheting action on them will clamp your tires down as tight as you need to. I just hope they stand up to a few years of being in the rain, sun, heat and cold.
(Update, 6 months later) One word of caution. Because these are made of some kind of plastic, DO NOT torque them down really really tight on your wheels, or else the teeth of the strap can get worn down in one spot. This can make the buckle jam and make it almost impossible to release. You'll be looking for a utility knife to cut the thing off. I was carrying a heaving old Schwinn on my roof, and tightened mine down a little too much. Almost didn't get it back off.

Lund 601019 Fold Down Bike Carrier, 2 Bikes Review

(More customer reviews)My 2 favorite features on this bike rack were the built in locks on the carrier unit and the adjustable bar that moves from 90 degrees to 45 degrees by just removing a pin (the pin attached by a wire so you can't lose it.) I am able to swing open the back door enough to shift luggage around or let the dog jump in and out. Only drawback was the slight mark that I saw on my tire cover which I was able to remove. It's great to be able to lock the bikes in place for times when I have to park and step away, though technically, if someone pulled the bar out of the hitch they could take it all which is the case with any rack I suppose.
The $95 price was great. I almost bought it from another online store for $60 more than Amazon plus they had it in stock with free shipping so I got it in 2 days with my AmazonPrime membership. It's not heavy and it's easy to take on and off when not in use and store in the garage. I would definitely recommend it.
